The Safety and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS) II final rule enhances the original SEMS rule, also known as the Workplace Safety Rule, which was issued by the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement’s (BSEE) in October 2010.  This module spreads awareness of the 17 elements of SEMS, and the new responsibilities required by SEMS for operators, contractors, and workers to ensure safe performance of offshore oil and gas activities.
